Dicipleship Ministry

Ministry Leaders: Minister Alecia Campell

The mission of the Discipleship Ministry of Lily of the Valley Outreach Ministries is to obey the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ by making disciples of all men and women who have, by faith, believed on Him and received His free gift of eternal life.

In order to accomplish our mission, we will provide training based on biblical principles, establish the fundamentals of faith and equip disciples to do the work of ministry. Below is an outline of this important ministry.

The Commitment Ministers
The New Converts Class
The New Members

The ministers goals are to point believers to the Savior, Jesus Christ, and encourage them to fellowship with God through prayer, praise and Bible study. Through this ministry, we reassure members that God loves them and desires a personal relationship with them.

The New Converts Class is a six week class for new and young believers. The class teaches fundamental aspects of salvation. Included in this class are newborn Christians and people who have been saved for a while, yet lack a proper foundation to grow in the ways of Christ.

The New Members Orientation Class consists of four sessions of teaching. In these sessions, we outline the structural nature of this church and its history and explain the various ministries in operation. Included in this important class are Biblical references for our order of praise and worship, why we tithe, why we have Bible study, as well as other relevant information.

Helps Ministry

Ministry Leader: Sister Sheree Saddler

The Helps Ministry purpose is to minister to the Lord Jesus Christ by serving His Body, The Church and to develop the hearts and minds of all servants of this ministry. As it was in the early Church and recorded in Acts 6, the congregation and its temporal needs have grown as the Lord adds to His Church daily those that are saved.

In order to relieve the Pastor and Elders of this burden and allowing them to concentrate on the spiritual needs of the congregation, the Deacons and Helps Ministry(adjutants, ushers, nurses, etc.) serve in the following areas.

  • Cleaning, maintenance, repair, and landscaping of all Church facilities.
  • Preparing for and serving The Lord’s Supper.
  • Preparing for and assisting with the baptism of new converts.
  • Visiting sick and incapacitated members.
  • Providing assistance to ensure the most efficient use of Church parking areas.

The Deacon and Helps Ministry also recruits, trains, and develops new servants and leaders to continue to meet the needs of a growing congregation.

"When Children Worship God, Great Things Happen"

Children’s ministry seeks to assist families in teaching their children the foundational truths of the Christian faith. This is where they focus on God in a personal way—and experience children’s worship through uplifting songs and fun, memorable Bible learning.

With a team of devoted teachers, the Children's Church at L.O.V.O.M. exists to lay a biblical foundation to lead children to Christ and to prepare them to share their faith. With eyes of faith, we believe that these children, ranging from 5yrs to the six grade, will make a difference with God's love.

The Children's Church is available during our second and third Sunday Morning Worship Service.
